Norman Foster, one of the most influential architects of the world, is the new Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts. With this award, the Foundation awards grants that recognize the ability of architecture to define our time and advancing the culture. Foster joined in this way the firmament of world-class stars who have received the distinction, as Margaret Atwood, Oscar Niemeyer, Paul Auster, or Woody Allen, among others.

Raúl: “Es un honor igualar a Di Stéfano”

Raúl González, capitán del Real Madrid, ha mostrado su satisfacción por haber igualado a Alfredo Di Stéfano como máximo goleador de la historia del conjunto blanco. En sus declaraciones, ha dicho que ha conseguido algo muy bonito pero que espera poder superarlo en los próximos partidos.

Raúl, que logró el primero de la victoria merengue en Soria (0-2), restó mérito a sus 307 goles en competición oficial y agradeció a todos los compañeros y entrenadores que ha tenido desde que debutó en 1994 de la mano de Jorge Valdano. “Esto ha sido posible porque juego en el Real Madrid al lado de tantos buenos futbolistas que me han ayudado. Estoy contento y feliz. El jueves pasado, en la foto oficial del equipo, Don Alfredo me dijo entre risas que a ver si marcaba ese gol ya”.

Raúl, que aún no ha batido el récord de más minutos disputados en Liga con el Real Madrid, aseguró que eso no le preocupa. “Lo que quiero es ganar más títulos. Llevamos seis victorias consecutivas y, para mí, lo importante es que ante el Numancia hemos conseguido el triunfo. El partido estaba siendo complicado y gracias que hemos podido marcar el segundo para sentenciar. Ahora tenemos que seguir trabajando y mi cabeza ya está en el próximo partido”.

Para terminar, destacó que: “Estamos a nueve puntos del Barça. Hace mucho tiempo que no estábamos a esa distancia y hay que esperar a ver si podemos recortar nuestra desventaja”.

Del Toro: To Interpret Che Made Me Respect Him More

Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Toro affirmed here that after interpreting Argentine-Cuban guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara increased his respect for him as historic figure and consistent man.

The first time I heard talk about Che I was 11 years old in a song of the Rolling Stones. After I interpreted him I learned a lot, he stressed in a press conference at the Taganana Hall of the Hotel Nacional, venue of the 30th New Latin America Film Festival.
